Celebrating 50 Years Today Since Civil Rights Leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Gave His Final Speech

New York City Sanitation Workers have always supported their brothers and sisters who have to work under difficult and often dangerous conditions picking up their municipalities' trash.  At the very least, a fair and reasonable wage with safe working conditions is the absolute minimum to which sanitation workers are entitled.  Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s efforts in that endeavor are still and will always be appreciated throughout the United States.  Fifty years after his death, organized labor is still fighting for the working man and woman.
